Nursery School and
Afterschool Care in Tsukuba City
FOR FOREIGNER RESIDENTS
Tins welcomes children of
foreign nationals residing in Tsukuba
At Tsukuba International Nursery School (Tins), we employ many foreign-national teachers and other English-speaking staff in order to promote English education.
We have created an environment in which children of foreign nationals can also play and learn with peace of mind without sensing any language barriers while at the same time experiencing Japanese culture and language.
Providing both nursery school (0–6 years) and afterschool care (elementary school students) services, Tins is also characterized by its continuous curriculum for children ranging in age from 0 (infants) to 12 years (Grade 6 of elementary school).

About Tins
ENGLISH
Full-time English-speaking Staff
At Tins, homeroom teachers for all classes—from infants upwards—are assisted by an English-speaking foreign-national teacher. This system enables not only children but also the parents/guardians of foreign nationals to enjoy every day with peace of mind without feeling any language anxiety. Moreover, children of foreign nationals are able to learn to speak Japanese naturally through daily interaction with Japanese children.

ART & SPORTS
Richly Varied Programs
Nurturing the Mind and Body
Our everyday curriculum also incorporates sports (football, swimming, cheerleading, etc.) and art (violin, painting, etc.) programs. All these activities are provided in proper lessons taught by professional instructors. By combining these various programs, we are endeavoring to nurture children both physically and mentally in good balance.

ENVIRONMENT
Nature-rich Environment
With its calming red-brick exterior, the Tins building is the base for children’s daily activities. Located within Tsukuba’s abundant forest, the environment enables children to play freely while interacting with nature, such as seasonal flowers and insects, without depending on conventional playground equipment. Moreover, Tins also provides a school bus (nicknamed the “Yellow Bus”) similar to those provided by schools overseas.

Daily Schedule (Example)
